The Dharma at KSD Glasgow

Gautama Buddha was born in India over 2500 years ago. After a highly sheltered childhood, he left his father's palace to wander the world, to try to understand about ageing, illness and death. On reaching this understanding, he taught for about 50 years. His teachings are known as "The Dharma".

Kagyu Samye Dzong Glasgow follows the unbroken transmission of the Dharma through the Kagyu Lineage, and not only hosts weekly meditations and pujas, but also a series of teachings on buddhism, meditation and related subjects. These are given by qualified teachers under the guidance of Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Abbot and Retreat Master of Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre near Eskdalemuir in the Borders.
