Train Travel

For those travelling by train, our centre is located within the RSPB Nature Reserve in Lochwinnoch. We are located 15 minutes from Lochwinnoch train station.

From the train station car park, cross the road into the RSPB car park, head to the RSPB Building and take the path to the right through the gate, follow the main path.

There are two paths just after you enter the nature reserve, but they both join up shortly later. You will pass a wooden apparatus on your right and you’ll see the railway embankment, follow along the path below that until you see the underpass and turn right going through the gate into the grounds. Following the path up, it bends to the right and you’ll arrive beside the outbuildings.

Please do not use the main road passing the A737 Roundabout to access Lochside House, as this road is busy and dangerous. Only travel via the RSPB as stated above if walking from the train station.

Car Travel

When travelling via SatNav or Google Maps, please only use our postcode ‘PA12 4JH’ as using our full address can sometimes lead drivers to another address.

The entrance to the driveway is on the A737. If coming from Glasgow, it’s highly recommended you drive around the A737 roundabout and come back to turn left into the property due to fast traffic.

Accessibility

Our shineroom is separated from the main building and is easily accessible for those with additional accessibility needs. With anyone attending that requires additional accessibility, please email us at lochsidehouse@ksdglasgow.org.uk so we can advise accordingly.
